The Independent Country Music Bulletin reports that more than a third of the 2006 Golden Guitar Finalists are Independent Artists which is great news for the industry and demonstrates that entertainers can make it without the help of a recording company. Mind you it will be interesting to see if any ‘Indie’s’ actually win a golden guitar.

Thank you for your wonderful response regarding our missing e mail list. It is good to know that the interest is out there. We are still continuing to make some changes to Capers making it less cluttered and more user friendly. Please be patient while we fix things up although the gig guide is not fully up to date please keep sending in your gigs. We will catch up.

Finally some confusion as emerged regarding our plans to raise money to help pay some of the costs involved with producing Capers. All we are asking is for a small donation, we will still continue to post ads and artists news free of charge.

Any funds left over at the end of the year will be donated to charity.

I find just asking for donations embarrassing but now I have retired on a pension it is a necessary evil.
