14 January 2006 Good luck to all those vying for awards in Tamworth, not everyone
can be a winner but just to be there is an honour. A special good
luck wish for all you talented Independent artists who are currently
giving the contracted artists a run for their money.
Amos Morris is one of the youngest nominees for a Golden Guitar
being in the final five for the Bush Ballad of the year. Amos
told me earlier this week that no one was more surprised than
he was.
“ I was happy to get an invite to the announcement of the
finalists and I was just tucking in to the free food when my name
was announced and I almost fell off my chair”. He said.
“ It will certainly be awesome to attend the awards even
if I don’t win”, he added.
It certainly is an honour for a 17 year old in what is traditionally
a older persons category
To be up there with the best. Good Luck.
We are still working on a few changes to Capers so please bear
with us. Plus the site was down last weekend and our web site
sponsors and providers Itel Telco have asked me to apologise for
any inconvenience caused. The fault was at their end and took
some time to track down.
Following on with my request for donations to help us along details
for donations are listed below. Please not that you are in no
way obligated to contribute but a small donation would help and
any money left over at the end of the year will be donated to
charity. Don’t forget to include your postal address so
that a receipt can be sent to you.
