The hysteria associated with Tamworth 2006 as already began with nominations for Starmaker and other events already open, plus berths on the Tamworth train from Melbourne are filling fast. Several people have remarked to me that the shine, glamour and excitement which once was Tamworth is getting a bit tarnished and jaded. That maybe but I firmly believe that the Tamworth experience is what you want it to be. If you travel to the January festival with the attitude that that it is not as good as it used to be then that is what it will be, but if you go determined to enjoy yourself and the country music no matter what then it will be a great experience.

OK the buskers are loud but the talent is still there. How true is that song title "Don’t worry be happy", especially if the trip is costing you an arm and a leg in travelling and other expenses.
