In this special Mildura Edition of Country capers we list all the winners and grinners from the Mildura Festival which was once again a great success. Many thanks and congratulations to John Arnold and his team for a job well done.

On a sad and bitter note, I must add my commiseration's and express horror at the murders which occurred yet again in Bali. The country music industry is closely linked to the hospitality industry and once again the hospitality business has suffered the brunt of those shocking explosions. I believe the only way we can stir the Indonesian Government to take more action and try harder to track down these murderers is to totally boycott Indonesia and all it’s goods and services. Without our valuable dollars this country will suffer.

Our condolences to the families and friends of those who died, seriously injured or mentally scarred by this event. Not only Australians but all nationalities.

Music soothes the savage beast or so the saying goes and if we can get the World to sing in harmony I am sure a lot of our differences and hatred will be forgotten.
